Saddle up and ride on over to Cowgirls & Collard Greens to meet Ms. Kayle Martin and then slurp up my simple, seasonal recipe for Sweet Potato Apple Ice Cream. While you’re there be sure to take the time to read about her incredible journey back to health after being diagnosed twice with breast cancer – talk about food being thy medicine!
(If you are participating in the November 16 Virtual Vegan Potluck, you’ll want to read today’s post on the VVP website about permalinks and why I want yours!)
That’s a lovely blog. Yeehaw!
It is! Kayle’s an amazing lady. One can’t help but YEEHAW, right ;-)?
Yeehaw! And yum!

I’m definitely going to try that recipe out. I think my Hubbin’ will love it!
So easy! It’s amazing how close it comes to “real” ice cream.
Aah that looks amazing! You’d think the cold weather would have me wanting only warm things, but there’s something about ice cream on a chilly evening that’s just decadent.
If I’m feeling REALLY decadent, I have ice cream AND hot chocolateโฆ That’s living ;-).
ooooooh… headed for the cowgirls place stat…

it’s a rabbithole of awesomeness… just fell deeper and landed at the kris carr site…
I know – good stuff!
Boy Howdy – only way to make sweet potatoes and/or apple pie better is to put them in ice cream!
Add pie crust on top and I could die happy.
That is a sweet and spicy bowl of yum! I want a scoop to live on my morning waffles please. ๐
Kayle sounds superamazing…so lucky that you met! Thanks for the recipe and the link to her blog. Cheers!
I just read the guest post! That is one beautiful ice cream Annie! I have used sweet potato just one time in my chocolate peppermint ice cream. It really does work to add sweetness. I love your take on these flavors of apple pie and turning it into ice cream! Delish!
I was pleasantly surprised by the frozen apple. I thought it might get funky, but it worked great. Thanks!
Unreal…I need a vat of this STAT!
Oh goodness! Thanks for sharing Annie!!! My mouth watered when I read this. ๐
Oooo, that sounds like an amazing combo!
I love Cowgirls and Collard Greens, I’m a follower! Anywho, this ice cream looks heavenly!! Celeste ๐
Oh my goodness, say no more! This looks incredible. Love the thought of a bit of crunchiness on top of smooth, creaminess. Heading over there right meow!
