Bloody Mary Green Smoothie

Big Tomato An Unrefined Vegan

Look at that bad boy!!  That’s a humongous Brandywine that came out of our garden.  I have no idea how it didn’t break the vine on which it was growing.  State Fair material, don’t you think?  But this fine specimen would never have lasted until September, and anyway, I had plans for it.  A savory smoothie plan, to be exact.

That tomato is massive! Your smoothies always look so drinkable with their frothy tops and all that fresh goodness stuffed in. Make mine a bloody mary green smoothie, please barman.

I so wish I had room for a garden in my yard, but space is a luxury for only the very rich in California (as you know having lived in Santa Monica before moving to the boonies). Your tomato is huge and lovely. I’m not sure that the Bloody Mary smoothie is for me, however. I’m sure it’s great for people who like bloody Mary’s, but I’m not a fan. Celeste 🙂

Space was the prime motivator for us to leave Washington, DC. Kel really, really, really wanted a garden. As with everything, being in the boonies has its good and bad sides. Right now I wouldn’t trade it :-).

TOMATO! I don’ t have any brandywines in this year, so I’m extra jealous. 🙂 A bloody mary smoothie sounds like such a perfect spicy stat to the day!

Wow, I’m in love with that tomato and that recipe! I had fun juicing tomatoes, celery, and cucumber on my juice cleanse. A nice change from the sweet fruits and green juices. I love your addition of horseradish and hot sauce. Delicious!!

That tomato looks amazing! I was late in the tomato planting game this year, and the only tomato plants that my nursery had were just plain old cherry tomatoes, which are still good, but nothing like this one! I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of bloody marys, but I love how you added some green to it!

Cherry tomatoes are wonderful! I just picked the last of ours a few days ago. So sad. We started tomatoes early this year and somehow hit the timing just right. Gardening is hit or miss, isn’t it?

Shame on me for not seeing this post earlier. That tomato is spectacular and packed with that delicious vine ripened summer tom flavor 😉 I’m a little bored with my banana blueberry smoothies and this is just what I needed to spark my breakfast cravings again. You’ve inspired me as usual with such beautiful veggies! Thank you.

Now that tomato is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! I love the idea of your savory bloody mary smoothie. If I find me some garden tomatoes, I may have to get right to it! xx

Well seeing as a Bloody Mary is one of my favourite drinks, I think I need to get over my savoury smoothie fear and try this!

Oh boy is this a brilliant idea! A great Bloody Mary taste and still able to function the rest of the day? This sounds wonderful! (and very grown up, which I usually try to avoid)…
