From blog posts to publication…
My book, A Terminal Illness Primer for Caregivers: Lessons from My Brother’s End-of-Life Journey, is now available on Amazon in Kindle format, paperback, and here on the blog in PDF format.
In 2011, my brother, Charles, was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, the disease that eventually took his life. GBM is a rare but extremely malignant and fast-moving form of cancer. Only 2% of those treated live beyond three years. Because of the disease’s rarity, it receives limited funding from the National Institute of Health and gets very little media attention. Charles bequeathed a portion of his estate to his medical team at Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah so that they could continue their research into a cure for this terrible killer. It is my goal – with your help – to continue to fund this vitally-needed research. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the e-book will be donated to the Charles A. Oliverio Fund at Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
