Kel + Elvis = The Kelvis
I’m very pleased to be “appearing” today on Veganosaurus – a blog jam-packed with inventive and delicious vegan recipes and written by one of the most kind-hearted women it’s been my pleasure to come to know. Besides blogging at Veganosaurus, Susmitha has an Etsy shop and also herds us plant-based cats at Vegan Temptivists on Facebook.
I’m sharing a kind of crazy recipe for a big, fat Elvis-worthy sandwich I call the Kelvis which consists of maple waffles, tempeh bacon, almond butter and a cherry-cranberry-fig compote. If this sounds like something you’d like to get your mouth around – please head on over to Veganosaurus for the recipe!
One year ago today: Brunswick-ish Stew
One year and one day ago today: Other People’s Food
I’m off to have a look!
woohoo!
Headed Over. Kelvis = Genius!
So crazy it just might work!
I died over the story of the beany bacon! Sounds familiar 😉 Kel is awesome!
Yep, that was the bean bacon fiasco. Waste not want not…
I read the post – Each one of those recipes is strong and can stand alone. Together, well, they are WOW!
Thanks, Patty!
Hooray you! I’ll hop on over and take a peak! I remember that Brunswickish stew from a year ago!!!
This sandwich sounds LEGIT! On my way to check it out! Love the name too!
Racin’ over to get me a hunka’ hunka’ that burnin’ Elvis love RIGHT NOW!
Looks amazing!
Is that a WAFFLE SANDWICH? Oh. Oh my.
Sounds fabulous! I’m heading over to Veganosaurus to check it out!
Love it! I’m going to check it out, Somer has me intrigued about the bean story.
Just one of those kitchen disasters – she got a flurry of text messages that night ;-)!
This is super fancy. I never would have thought to combine tempeh, waffles, almond butter and fruit compote. Way to go!
Congrtas! It is a lovely guest post! I love tempeh bacon too! Your cherry & cranberry fig compote sings to me but to eat waffles with that, is very strange for a Belgian! I will eat this with tasty bread instead! Yummmm!
Aaah! This sounds amazing Ann! I absolutely love the sound of the tempeh ‘bacon’… I have a packet of tempeh sitting in my fridge right now and I might just try it for dinner! x
Thanks, Laura! I love, love, love tempeh bacon!
Oh my goodness! Heading over there now for that recipe!
*swoon*
Love the name! How fun
Ann, thank you so much for doing up a super delicious guest post on my blog!
The post went up on Friday evening (my time) and I was away for the weekend. I came back to find loads of visitors talking about how amazingly scrumptious your Kelvis Sandwich seems. Haha
I’m so happy to have hosted you. Hope to do it again sometime. *hugs*
Thank you so much, Susmitha! I’m honored you asked and I’d love to do it again. Maybe you’d consider appearing on my blog :-). Hugs back to you!
